Lockheed Martin's Young Minds At Work

The aren't a lot of things that go together better than kids and telescopes.  The Meade 10" GPS with a white light filter and the Coronado SolarMax 40mm Hydrogen Alpha solar scope  were again removed from the observatory and made available for the Newtown, PA Lockheed Martin 2006 YMAW (a fancy name for bring your kid to work day).  The Solar Observation was only one of the many activities available to the kids in order to expose them to science and technology.  In addition to the solar scopes kids where given a set of solar viewing glasses.  Over 273 children attended this year's event. Even some of the parents managed to sneak a peek.
